People always ask Why Cabo?  Waaay back in the 80′s I vacationed in Cabo.  In 1994 I purchased a condo “for retirement”.  In 1998 I moved down…lock, stock, and barrel and have witnessed the phenomenal growth Los Cabos has experienced in the last 13 years. What was once a sleepy little fishing town is now a more cosmopolitan tourist destination. Thousands of these tourists were so enamored of Cabo’s beauty and wide array of activities that they decided to make Los Cabos either their second home or move here permanently.

I began my Cabo real estate career with Prudential California Realty in 2006, the boom time for real  estate when you couldn’t keep a property on the market for more than a week before it sold.  The current economic climate has caused changes in the real estate market not only in the United States but in Mexico as well.  I’ve hung in there through the “bust” time when beautiful homes have languished on the market for months, even several years.   What happens in the United States definitely affects our market in Los Cabos.

I now work for Baja Properties, a well recognized name in Los Cabos since 1986.  I will be working out of their brand spanking new office on the marina in Cabo.  It’s right next to Mango Deck on the Marina and if you are in the area stop by and say hello.

Pricing on both new and resale properties, overall, has been drastically reduced with many home sellers offering seller financing. With the peso exchange rate hovering at about 13.50 to 1 this is a perfect time to enter into the housing market in Los Cabos, whether it be for a vacation home, retirement home or an investment rental property.

Buying or selling real estate in Mexico can be both exciting and terrifying but having a knowledgable, responsible and stable real estate agent at your side will make the difference in how your transaction proceeds.

Please contact me with your expectations, requirements, and any questions you might have. Your time is valuable. My time is valuable also and I promise that I will listen to what you have to say and pinpoint appropriate properties for you.

All the blogs on this site are “my takes” on living  in this small piece of paradise.  I’m sure that if you ask 5 different people you might get 5 different opinions.  Some blogs are written tongue in cheek and some are irreverent…I feel that with so much time spent here I have earned the right to poke a little fun at some of the things that make living here just a bit challenging at times.
